"House ARI" — the house is located on the Ohr Chaim, 6 in the Jewish quarter of the Old city in Jerusalem.

The house-Museum named in honor of the famous Ihaka Luria (the Ari), who is the founder of the Kabbalah Lorenskog.
Isaac Luria (the Ari) was born in 1534, after the death of his father was taken to Egypt - home mother. In 1570 he returned to the Holy Land and settled in Safed, where he was later buried.
The house was built during the Turkish authorities in the early sixteenth century. In 1742 this house was settled well the famous Sephardic Rabbi Haim Ben Atar (Ohr Hachaim). In 1812, this two story building was purchased by Rosenthal, the founder of the Ashkenazi community. After the Ohr Chaim and Rosenthal, the owner of the house became Rabbi Weingarten, who married the daughter of Rosenthal.
In 1976, this building was founded the historical-ethnographic Museum, illustrating the life and the life of these two blestyaschih sages who lived once in this house, and conveys the lifestyle of the Jewish people and the spiritual interests of this nation during the Turkish and British authorities in Palestine.
The Museum has two floors:
On the ground floor there is the Ashkenazi synagogue of the Ari and once served as the living rooms of the premises belonging to the family the Weingarten. In the rooms of exhibits of household items and clothing Sephardic and Ashkenazi Jews: coats, robes, Turkish murals, hats, turbans and shtreiml.
In other rooms you can see various craft workshops: shoemaking, metalwork, sewing, Cabinet with dental forceps, dental prostheses, bottles, and banks. The Museum also features products used in food in those days: grains, vegetables, fruits, and pickles, and preserves. Next to the kitchen outdoor patio. All such open courtyards in the house of Weingarten were three, and each of them must be located well.
The second floor is reserved for the synagogue Ohr Chaim and yeshiva women's-religious higher education institution, which Ohr Haim had founded at his own expense and himself taught it. Near a small, but very cozy patio for relaxation and erection of the sukkah is erected tent (hut), which is supposed to have lived during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. On the second floor there is a personal chapel Ben Atar, and Mikvahs.
